A film festival honor and published book for newcomer A.W. Gryphon

Published September 12, 2007 (source)

LOVE. LIES. MYSTERY. WITCHCRAFT.

A powerful witch and a sexy night in the kitchen is what first time author and screenwriter, A.W. Gryphon, is dishing out this fall with the sale of her first novel, Blood Moon, and the acceptance of her film, La Cucina, into the 11th Annual Hollywood Film Festival. Blood Moon is a historically driven tale of mystery, love and witchcraft set in modern day London, and is sure to grab the attention of all ages, and men and women alike.

La Cucina is a small movie with a big impact that takes us through the love, lies, hopes and dreams of seven seemingly different, but very similar people over the course of one evening. They are two very different stories, “but in love there is always a common thread” says Gryphon, “whether it is supernatural or ordinary, it is ultimately what motivates all of us to do what we do.”

The film stars Joaquim de Almeida (Patriot Games), Christina Hendricks (Mad Men), Leisha Hailey (The ‘L’ Word), Rachel Hunter, Oz Perkins, Kala Savage and Clare Carey and will World Premiere at the Hollywood Film Festival in October.

Blood Moon, the first novel in her Witches Moon trilogy, is published by James A. Rock and Co., and due out in stores everywhere this April.
